Professional race driver Warren Luff showed why he is fast by taking on some of the world’s best Superlap Time Attack Drivers. This new and exciting form of motor sport came to Eastern Creek Raceway with locals up against Japan and America.

Trading his normal Dick Johnston Jim Beam racing Ford Falcon V8 Supercar for the Angelo Lazaris Race Team Turbo Lotus Elise, Warren Luff lapped Eastern Creek Raceway in 1.32.27 seconds to claim fourth fastest and top scoring Australian driver.

Tarzan Yamada of Japan took first place in a 1000 horse power Mitsubishi Lancer over American David Emplingham in a similar car. Yamada also claimed third place driving a highly modified Subaru WRX finishing just .37 of a second in front of Warren Luff.

The Superlap/World Time Attack inaugural meeting at Eastern Creek attracted 86 entries with spectators voting it a huge success.
