Tyres and More, a leading tyre chain approached Ian Luff Motivation Australia to run their National conference, having not had one for several years this event needed to be special. With an open mind and concept left to our imagination we pitched the idea of hosting the event at the ANZ Stadium (Homebush Olympic Site) while the V8 Supercars raced their grand final round of the year.

Management accepted the idea and given the scale proposed then decided to add a trade show and invite Yokohama dealers also. For the first time ever this included their Truck Tyre division and all Yokohama’s major business channels.

We organised the flights for over 150 people, accommodation, ticketing, bus transfers, shopping tours for the wives of delegates, 40 trade partners, dinners, entertainment, activities, guest speakers, venue, meals and a gala dinner. The event ended with the gala dinner in a private suite for all guest.

After the gala dinner and a presentation they were treated to a live performance from rock megastars Guns’ & Roses’ who performed inside the stadium. Guests watched from their private seating with wait staff serving drinks and snacks throughout the show.

To make this event exclusive we had to create special lanyards with colour coded bandings for certain events within the conference. The event was jammed packed with different programs including a full trade show that featured key trade partners who were able to set up trade stands full of products and information.

Grant McGregor who is the National Retail Manager for Tyres & More said it was the best conference they ever had and along with the theme that we created specifically for the event ‘GET PUMPED’ that has had a lasting effect on sales.

To this day dealers still talk about this outstanding event where they had the opportunity to watch the V8 Supercar action, visit all of the trade partners, learn about vital Yokohama strategies, be inspired, motivated and encouraged.

The unique thing about this event was the tight timeframe, having just 3 months to pull all of this together not only did we met the target budget but we exceeded expectations on all fronts.

The ANZ Stadium hospitality coordinators reported that this was the biggest non-sporting event ever hosted at the Stadium and that it was amazing what we were able to achieve.
